Coronavirus (covid-19) update - parks now closed - 22 March 2020

Focusing on the health and wellbeing of everyone is our top priority. In response to local reports of people continuing to gather in public places, we have taken the difficult decision to close all country parks effective immediately.

As our parks have many access points and open spaces, we are relying on the cooperation of the public. Our primary concern is your safety. Our moves have been to support social distancing, protect health and wellbeing and avoid mass gatherings. We have taken action to restrict the growing number of people visiting and gathering in groups.  There are still ways to access our parks and open spaces on foot etc., but if you choose to do so, then please observe social distancing and remain at least 2 metres apart from others.

We’re encouraging all our visitors to stay safe in these unprecedented times by keeping up to date with the latest government guidance at www.gov.uk/coronavirus
